UK Matilda MkIII/IV Professional Plus Edition 1/16 Scale Tank - RTR from Tongde - TDE1015-003
The UK Matilda Mk III / Mk IV infantry tank represents the peak evolution of the legendary Matilda II series—a machine built around one core philosophy: unstoppable protection and battlefield endurance. Developed from the Infantry Tank Mk II platform, the Mk III and Mk IV variants introduced refinements in engine configuration, reliability, and specialized roles. Early models used twin AEC diesel engines, while later Mk IV variants adopted improved Leyland powerplants, boosting durability and serviceability in harsh environments.
What truly set the Matilda apart was its exceptional armor protection, reaching up to nearly 78 mm—making it nearly immune to most early-war anti-tank guns. This earned it the iconic nickname “Queen of the Desert,” where it dominated Axis forces during the North African campaign. Armament varied by role: standard versions carried the reliable 2-pounder anti-tank gun, while close-support (CS) variants—often associated with Mk IV—mounted a 3-inch howitzer for high-explosive firepower against infantry and fortifications.
Tongde’s Professional Plus version, available at Motion RC, offer electroplated metal tracks, sprockets, and bogie wheels for supreme durability, while delivering an exceptional feature list that includes an exclusive camo trim scheme, LED lights, sound, exhaust smoke, IR battle system (compatible with other brands), complete ball bearings, and more.
Note: This model does not offer an airsoft BB launch function.

Scale Suspension System The Matilda Mk III used a coil spring suspension system with bogies, a design that emphasized durability and smooth, controlled movement over speed. Each side of the tank featured multiple small road wheels mounted in paired bogie units, with coil springs providing vertical cushioning. A distinctive feature of the Matilda’s design was its armored side skirts, which completely covered the suspension. While this added extra protection against enemy fire and debris, it also made maintenance more difficult in the field. |

Durable Metal Gearboxes Tongde Professional and Professional Plus versions include durable gearboxes with metal case and gears. |
|
Electroplated Metal Tracks The Matilda Professional Plus version includes electroplated metal tracks, sprockets, and bogie wheels for extreme durability and precise handling. Adjustable track tension keeps the system in perfect alignment for maximum efficiency. |
