Overview
Yamato 1/200 Scale Japanese Battleship from Bancroft - RTR - BNC1001-003
Conquer the waves with Bancroft, the world’s premier RC Boat brand available exclusively at Motion RC! Bancroft’s line of RC vessels is as vast as the seven seas, specializing in high scale RC Warships, Yachts, Speedboats, and more! Equally at home on your mantle with its included display stand or sailing on calm lakes or pools, Bancroft vessels are made of high-quality materials including ABS, fiberglass, real wood, and photo-etched brass and steel parts.
The Imperial Japanese super-battleship “Yamato” and her sister ship “Musashi” were the largest floating weapons deployed in World War 2. Built under intense secrecy, the Yamato became a symbol of defiance as the Allies closed in around the island country that had once threatened Pacific domination.
Bancroft’s Elite Series of warships continues with the 1/200 scale Battleship Yamato. Display this museum piece on your mantle or astonish your RC boat club with this functional RTR (Ready to Run) RC battleship. Over 400 total parts and 100 man-hours of work are already completed for you. Delivered Ready to Run (RTR), the vessel can be sailing within minutes of arrival, using the included 2.4Ghz radio transmitter and 2s Li-Ion battery. Only four AA batteries and minimal final assembly is required.

Removable Turrets The Yamato's fully detailed main turrets can be easily positioned for static display or removed for transport or further customizing. Each main turret's barrels can be positioned up and down independently. |

Easy Access Electronics Bay The Yamato's primary superstructure is molded around one central piece that can be easily removed with one hand. To access the hull interior, the entire superstructure is pulled cleanly off of the deck. |
![]() |
Pin-Sized Details Over 100 hours of handcrafted details are built at the factory using hundreds of fingernail sized brass Photo-Etched (PE) parts and larger sub-assemblies |
![]() |
Pre-Installed Superstructure Hundreds of hours of workmanship are done meticulously at the factory. Every sub-component is assembled from multiple materials, then detailed and painted by craftsmen. |
![]() |
Genuine Wood Deck The Yamato's one-piece molded hull and deck is covered by a single large laser-cut and laser-etched genuine wood deck |
![]() |
Pre-Installed Rigging The bridge's many rigging lines are pre-installed at the factory. There remains just a few anchors for the user to position when he/she receives the model out of the box. Just one anchor is needed to be undone in order to service the interior of the boat. |

Bancroft model boats are molded and hand finished using very intricate details and parts including metal, wood, plastic, and fiberglass. Because of their hand made nature, minor imperfections in the fiberglass, metalwork, or painting may exist. These potential imperfections will not affect the seaworthiness of the vessel or the overall scale boating experience. Bancroft scale RC boats are fragile so care should be taken when moving or transporting your model.
Some of the electronics in this Bancroft boat, including the Battery, ESC, Motor, and Receiver, are NOT intended to get wet; they are NOT water resistant. If any of these electronic components get wet and you attempt to operate your model, the water can cause an electrical short-circuit and void your warranty. In the rare instance that you get water inside your vessel, you should drain the water completely and allow all electronics to fully dry before attempting to operate your model.

Einfach super. Habe mich riesig gefreut. Weiter so.......:) Bin absolut zufrieden :) Vielen Dank und bis demnächst :) greetings from Germany:) Stefan

The details are great are more and better worked out than the Bismarck or the Missouri. The only thing I miss is the possibility of ******** on the deck, as you can with the Missouri. Like the other two models, the Yamato is unfortunately not entirely true to the original. The portholes are not always in the right places, some are missing and some are where they shouldn't be. Some details of the deck construction were omitted or are from a different equipment condition. This is less with the Missouri and almost none with the Bismarck. However, the Yamato is a very great model and has potential for improvement for experienced model builders. I painted some details differently based on Stefan Draminski's book Yamato and added figures to it. This makes the Yamato look really stunning. Overall it was a lot less work than the Bismarck and Missouri (which is probably due to the fact that the Yamato had few, different colored details). Overall, I can only recommend the Yamato. I only find the price a bit too expensive, the Bismarck and Missouri were significantly cheaper. These were not Bancroft models, but from the same company that makes these models and are just marketed under a different name.
